I stopped using it because I believe the soap strips wax. Ryan
True statement. The soap that comes with the Mr. Clean system is very harsh even though Mr. Clean states otherwise. It is on the acidic side of the PH scale. The best thing to do is ditch the Mr. Clean soap and use a name brand car soap like Zaino, Maguires, or Mothers.

*Tip* Want to remove your existing wax or polish? Wash your car/truck with Dawn original dishwashing soap.

I've got a friend that does autobody. He uses 3M Hand Glaze instead of wax. Strips off everything right down to the clearcoat. Super shiney and beads like mad. Easier to apply than wax too. Never used the stuff on my truck. At $30/quart it's kinda spendy, but a qt. does cover an awful lot.

I wash my trailer out once a week in the winter to keep it from freezing up. Frozen manure doesn't sweep out very well. :p I'll usually wash the truck at the same time. The wash isn't high pressure, but it is high volume. I blast off what I can and then take a truck brush and wipe the rest loose. Rinse again and all done. Kinda like making room for the new salt by getting rid of the old salt. I "try" to wax it once or twice a year, but I usually get bored and make too many trips to the fridge in the back of the shop. ;)

Local touchless washes work fantastic on a not-so-filthy truck, which mine rarely qualities for. I do like the undercarriage wash though. Easier than doing it by hand and probably more effective too.
