Carded for buying Power service additive

Went tonite(its late) and bought my oil to do my service on my Cummins as my filters should be here tomorrow from Genos Garage. Decided to buy a small container of Power Service, do you know that when i checked out that the register asked for my ID when they scanned the power service additive, I was laughing inside so hard and the check out girl asked me why i would need to be carded for that.

My response to her was with all the Meth labs poppin up im sure that was the reason, that has gotten really bad in the neighboring county in NC. So for you fellows who decide to take care of your Cummins with additive and live in NC. be prepared to be at least 21 yeah 21 in order to buy this stuff, Im guessing if i had not been at least 21 i would not have been able to purchase it, It was almost like i was buy beer to the register LMAO... .

Was wondering how many of you has this happened to lately?

I have bought additives at Wal-Mart in Texas. They are supposed to check ID there. They just looked at me and said, "You are over 21, right?" I am only in my early 50s, but have a white "Santa Clause" beard. Most people guess me about 60.

My local Farm store has been out of it lately so I have been thinking of going to Wally, but I guess that idea is out the window.

Probably as a solvent, reagent or catalyst. Obviously, based on carding practices no one over 21 must be using it for that. Maybe the little varmints are sniffing the stuff like paint. I once had a college roomate who told me that back in Birmingham, Alabama teenagers would dip cigarettes in formaldehyde (embalming fluid) and smoke them. I guess it won't be long before they start drinking fuel filter squeezings... .

GFrance they have been using the propane (small canisters) that you get for camping for awhile in the making of Meth just goes to show you what pple will do for a quick buck or a quick high. Im not sure that you have to be 21 but thats what the register asked when the checkout person scanned it the other nite so who knows for sure.

Guess our fight on drugs is not that great, but for those who track them down each day i commend you as i to wear blue.

I see(know) a few tweekers around. I seen em picking up camp fuel. Like kerosene. That stuff is disgusting. Maybe I could comprehend the idea of becoming addicted to it. If it wasnt bathtub crank. You know what I mean. If your gonna cook your brain. Might as well use the good stuff. Them people look like the walking dead.

Sad personal story that explains my loathing for tweekers. I had a black sheep brother who had suffered from addictions most of his adult life. He was taking some sort of painkiller and over did it. He came out and announced that he had od'd and laid down on the floor. The tweeker was so high that they waited for several hours for someone else to arrive before calling the medics. Unfortunately the brain cannot go several hours without oxygen. He didnt make it.

Yeah, but just pray that no one figures out a drug use for diesel fuel. We'll all be sunk then--getting carded when we buy fuel, limits on quantity, the 3:00AM knock on the door by the DEA just to check up on you, the unsavory crowd hanging around the pumps asking if we can spare a drop of diesel. And woe be unto those who are illegally manufacturing biodiesel in their bathtubs...

I had a druggie trying to cut thru my property the other nite, my dog was going nuts so I went outside to see what he was barking at. Took my 40cal Glock with me & here is this guy wacked out on something standing in my driveway, so Mr. Glock persuaded him to vacate. I would have called the cops on him but I figured the 20 miniute responce time & he'd be long gone.

What difference would it make if you were 21 or not, if you were using it for illegal purposes? Besides, I know of some 40 something people around here that went to the klink for making meth.

They must be carding for some other purpose.

I told this story to a friend today. He said his wife went to Wal Mart & bought some allergy pills, four boxes. When she went to leave the door alarms went off. After checking her bag they told her she could only carry out 3 boxes of those pills. Seems they have a limit on certain drugs do to abuse.

We are not loosing our freedom do to terrorist, but do to druggies.

The allergy pills are Sudafed. The druggies break them apart into powder, use ether,Heet,and some other stuff, but the ingredient they are really after is Anhydrous ammonia. This is the stuff in thousand gallon pressure tanks that farmers knife in to fertilize corn. It breaks down in the soil to nitrogen fertilizer. The punks use 20 pound propane bottles to transport it in after they tap your ammonia tank. It takes special adapters to tap your tank,but they seem to get them. If you see a propane tank like you use on your barbecue grill and the valves are stained green, it has been used to steal ammonia

''Mules'' that transport this stuff stop at every drug store they can and buy a couple of bottles at each store. They deliver to the lab[if it is a big operation] and haul finished product away. one such person wrecked his car next door, and Sudafed powder and ammonia valves were found in the trunk. The cops had him for a week, and they sweated him and got the big lab.

Some of these fools are cooking up small batches in kitchens or even outdoors. No secrets revealed here, it's all on the internet.

We go through heck using anhydrous. Can't leave tanks set in the field overnight anymore. That stuff will freeze any body part you got, including your lungs. Stinks too. Very nasty stuff. If the weather is cold enough you can technically carry it away in a bucket I guess. I aint ever trying that.



Out here these meth labs are rolling anymore. Making it while going down the road in a van. Oh great thats what I want to meet on the road. A van full of anhydrous ammonia, ether, and whatever else crap they put in it. They also move in to abandoned farm houses, and make it.
