Hi guys,

I'm out here in Denver and developed a small situation.

I closed my cargo door on a thick blanket (inadvertently) and when I went to open it I heard CLICK and the door will not open. Seems like it's disconnected at the top of the door because I can see the bottom of the door releasing.

Luckily I brought my Service manual with me and some tools but I was looking for a little wisdom as well. Is there a trick to repairing this that may be easier than the manual states?

Any help would be appreciated.

I am guessing you mean the back door of your quad cab? Mine stopped working completely one day, unfortunantely it was closed. Well sir, after climbing in the back seat and doing some creative wiggling I was able to get the cover off of the door. Inside the door attached to the door handle actuator thingy are two rods one from the top and one from the bottom. All I needed to do was re-adjust them because they weren't quite unlatching the door. My guess is you've popped one of them right out of it's holder. It's a cheesy little clip thing. You should use new panel attaching things but I re-used mine and it's holding find. Seems to me there was one pain in the butt part to it like trying to remove the little pocket in the door or something but I can't be certain. It's not too bad I think I was done with the job in like 45 minutes or an hour.
