Cargo light won't go off

My cargo light won't shut off. Any ideas?

The control for the dash lights..... if it's 2 clicks one way it turns on the cargo light and leave it on... . could this be your problem??

No. Switch is in the off position. In fact, the cargo light indicator on the dash is off too. I can move the switch to 'on' and the dash indicator says 'on' then move the switch to off and dash says off but the light says on.

I got it fixed. This was a nightmare. Back in August I had an aftermarket DVD player installed in my truck. The gadget worked fine and I didn't notice any problems. Well, last night I installed my cab lights. Routine installation except that I had to R&R the aftermarket DVD player. Today I notice my cargo light won't go off and my brake lights aren't working... uh oh! So I tear things apart and find that I'd run a screw right through the wiring that runs on top of the headliner. Looking closely I saw that the screw had been through these wires since the DVD was installed. I just happened to actually short things. So I had to repair all those wires on top of the headliner and replace the blown fuses. Nightmare's over and at least now I know my truck won't crap out or catch on fire one day due to the crappy DVD installation.
