I have the upgraded dodge steering linkage installed in my 05 and i had purchased the carli low mount stabilizer to go in the place of the stock one. However the stabilizer bottoms out before the full steering travel can be reached.

I had to purchase the stock one and use that and I noticed the the stock one is about 2 inches shorter that the aftermarket one.

Which stabilizer are you guys using with the upgraded linkage? I would like the use my aftermarket one but it looks like it will not work. Is there any modifications that have to be made to get it to work?

TIA!!

Yes, you can use the Carli Bistein 7100 in the place of the stock lower. I upgraded to the '08 steering as well, and had problems with the Carli bottoming out.

On the end of the stabilizer that attaches to the steering linkage, there is a "flat" spot made on the linkage. Loosen the clamp bolts over this "flat" and slide it as far to the driver's side as you can, and tighten things back down.

Since I've done this, I've not had anymore problems with the lower stabilizer.

Eric,

The brackett seems pretty close to the front diff right now. I might be able to move it down and them try to mount the carli and see what happens

It is close, but it'll be alright. Take a hammer and beat the bracket as far to the driver's side as possible on the flat... even a little bit makes a difference.

Do you have the stock front differential cover, or a Mag-Hytec?

Stock cover. I heard there are some clearance issues with mag-hytech front covers with the carli-track bar and steering linkage

There are, but they will still all work together. The linkage will grind down a few of the cooling finds of the Mag-Hytec, but will not comprimise its structural integrity.
