Finally was able to get into Carli suspension for the ball joint installation. I had seen the uppers before but not the lowers. When compared with the Dodge OEM stuff the quality justifies the price. The Dodge factory uppers have a babbit bearing surface allowing for rotation. The lowers have a ball and socket with a plastic insert that allows them to turn and lean from side to side as required when turning the truck left or right.

The Carli components looked like aircraft quality. There are no plastic or babbitt bearings. The assemblies are fully machined from Chromalloy steel with tight tolerances then heat treated. Both have O rings and zirc fittings so they can be greased.

Went for a test drive with Sage and was pleased with the improvement beyond the suspension system previously installed. The truck is now so much better than new it’s amazing.

Thanks for the pics, i'm ordering them tommorow. Took awhile to find some lowers. I was also looking at the Dyna Trac bj, but i guess they are adjustable and have heard some negative stuff. . I have already installed the carli trac bar, it's very well made.

I have had some uppers and lowers on back order for months. I'm so looking forward to getting them installed.

WOW Weee that is cool. I think I need to make the change, the Missouri roads this winter have been awful and the front end has picked up that familiar rattle.

Thought I would post a few more pictures. Upper factory ball joint showing babbitt bearing. New Carli Upper beside factory joint. Carlis shop with my CTD on the hoist. Prototype control arm for 6 inch lift.

I ordered the Carli front end upgrade kit (upper and lower ball joints, trackbar, front steering stabilizer) along with a set of Bilstein 5100's about 3 weeks ago. They should be here by the end of next week.

I've been waiting since last October for them to get the lower ball joints released. (sure hope it's worth the wait :) )

I'm scheduled for the 26th to have the pintop system installed along with uppers & lower Ball joints on my quad cab dullie 4X4. I can't wait. what is bogus is what we have to do to make em right. Good thing there are great vendors like Sage out there doing what it takes to make our rides awesome. I am never selling this truck. It would cost to much to reduplicate it. My 07 is the last of the 5. 9 engines. No DPF for me.

I want to see more of that radius arm system please. I have some Carli mini packs on the way and some Bilstein 7100 with Kore valving ready to go. I might need the track bar, ball joints, and steering stabilizer. I might need the freespin kit and the control arms as well. I "need" alot. My fiance drove the truck on a three hour round trip by her self and hated it. I thought to myself this is good because I can upgrade most of what she did not like.

The radius arms are still in the testing stage I believe. I rode through some huge whoops at insane speeds with a 14" travel variant. Totaly unbelievable that a 4 ton truck can handle that way. As docile as a passenger car on the street but turn it loose in the dirt with an experienced driver and hold the **** on

I also am pretty sure all bilstein 7100's have the same valving... ... ... ... .
