Just got back with our TT. from vacationing in Ca. I carry 2 spares due to horror stories about tires blowing. One tire developed a bubble on the sidewall and a second tire blew wiping out my spares .
I had talked to Leo Garbarino the sales manager for Carlisle in Ontario,Ca. and he told me to run 65 psi no less and you won't have any problems. Leo stated most of Carlisle problems are due to underinflation!
I carry a 2 gallon air compressor and a digital tire pressure gauge to check my tires at cold pressure in the am. It gets old checking tires and finding them . 5 to 2 lbs. low and inflating them to 65psi every day.
Leo also stated never tow over 65 mph with our tires. In Ca. the speed limit is 55 with trailers so I was well below max speed. Changing 2 tires this vacation is not my idea of fun. Many people with Weekend Warrior trailers going to the sand dunes will blow 3-4 tires on a weekend trip.
Carlisle no more.
Thanks,
Keith
