Does anyone have any information on a product or method of carrying/transporting a small motorcycle, (Suzuki SP125), on the front of a 2001 Ram 3500? Thanks.

Get a front receiver hitch, I've got one and love it. Don't carry my bike there but I can park my 24' TT 3" from the side fence with it.

The check "Dirt Bike" or "Motocross Action" magazines for receiver hitch bike carriers, there are several.

There is one out there that uses a hyd. jack to raise the bike. I read a test of that one and they seemed to like it.

I built one (non-jacking, used a ramp) before I got my RAM, it worked pretty good. Gave it away when I sold my YZ490.

Make sure that what ever you get locks the bike down by the footpegs or frame, not just the handle bars. If you don't it will sway too much. Slop in the receiver will cause some rocking too. Just learn to ignore it.

Ridin & Rammin now we're talking fun!

I have a reciever hitch on the front of my truck 95 ram,and have bicycle/scooter/small motorcycle carrier for it.
Should not be a problem as long as you don"t
exceed front axle rating.

That sounds good. Where can I have a front receiver hitch installed? Any trailer hitch installer? And where can I obtain the motorcycle carrier? Can you send me a picture of your setup? Thanks.

I had it installed by a RV dealer.
I do not have means to send pictures yet,but
once the reciever is installed you can use any of the 2" bars/racks that the hitch dealers sell.

Check www.quadrack.com and go to the motorcycle section. I actually used their's as a pattern to make my own. We are headed to the Smokies this week with a Yahama Jog on it on the back of the fifth wheel the maiden voyage for it hope all stays together, it tilts with an extension for a ramp it's very easy to load /unload.

Draw-Tite receiver number 65003 is a no-drill front receiver for our Rams. It lists at about $135 and is a fairly simple install. It is rated at 9000 lbs. maximum winch line pull & 500 lb. OR vehicle front gross axle weight rating cargo capacity.

The receiver cannot be used with factory tow hooks (I had to remove mine) and requires a 3 by 3 hole in the air dam (if so equipped). The receiver tube end is flush with the back of the front license plate holder and an installed 2 by 2 shank just clears the bottom of the license plate holder. This unit is well designed for our trucks.

The Reese website also shows a RAM front receiver.
