Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) carter lift pump

Hey guy, i got a carter pump near tank for back up for the fass pump. Those anyone know if there's a screen filter on the inlet side. (carter) i just installed the draw straw and put a inline filter before the pumps. If carter pump has screen, should i remove it from the pump are leave it. Thanks

The Carter pumps if you are talking OEM have a screen built in on the inlet side. I don't see any reason to remove it as it would be added protection.
