to answer the question. yes. i got everything sorted. funny though i just had a dead pump last week. after much searching i found that the duetch pac connector had been pulled loose from the wire right at the plug that goes into the FP. the fuel pump was still good and the recently repaired computer was still good too. if there is no 12v at the pump plug (my FP is mounted on the motor, not in the fuel tank) w all three tests then the computer is bad. for some reason Cummins decided to power the FP through the computer, stupid if you ask me. auto Computer specialist fixed my computer for under $300. fast turn around. i decided to use the computer to power an external relay that feeds the FP since i upgraded to a FASS fp. the FASS has proven to help a lot and keeps the fuel pressure above 15 psi at all times. 20 at idle. as far as i know there is no feed back from the VP to energize the FP 12v.
