Hey all,
Really struggling on this. I have a 1995 Case Skid with a 4bt motor. This motor has the VE pump minus 2 injectors.
Here is the story. The weather was in the -20 range and it was running fine. The fuel then gel'ed up when the weather got colder. I crack the filter and added "diesel 911". It started up and ran fine after that. While running it after it gel'ed the filter started spilling hyd. fluid and I fixed that. Prolly lost 2. 5 gallons of hyd. fluid, (I add this for reference, I do not think they are related but that is why I am adding as much as I can). Added more hyd. fluid and continued plowing. The next morning, it was gel'ed up again and I did the same thing as before adding the diesel 911. Nothing. Puffed white smoke and then no puffing of anything. Cracked the injectors and no fuel to the injectors. I then bled the fuel system per the manual and still nothing.
I have made sure that I am getting 12v to the pump and my battery is good. I am at my wits end. The only other thing that I can think of is the pump lever is bad. I pumped it a couple times and it goes limp. It then takes a minute or so to build pressure back up in it.
Also, now I have no resistance anymore in the throttle if this makes sense. Whereas before, I could feel resistance now it slides with complete without any.
Damn I am frustated! Any ideas out there? I really don't have the money to spend to have someone come out to look at it and fix it. I also need to get it moving though...
