Just a quick question guys, as Im driving if I hit a big pothole or turn and the chassis flexes and its bumpy I hear what sounds like something is loose underneath. It sounds like its more on the right side of the truck. It will clunk-clunk then go away when the road smooths out. What am I looking for hear. Brand new truck 120 miles on it. Any ideas or am I just hearing something that is normal?? Thanks as always, smokin

Hi there, I have the same noise in my truck, found the stabilizer bar bushings a bit loose and tighten them down , but the damn noise is still there. My front tires are cupping(knife edge) a bit. A few weeks ago i had a steering wheel nibble @ 60 mph, so i took off all my tires(goodyear GSA) and had them ROADFORCE Balanced and the right front was out of round and i was given a new by Goodyear. only a month and 2weeks old and i have 5500 miles.

I have the same clunk. Sounds like driver side rear. Others have stated this is the rear leaf springs slapping together. Seems to be the case.

I've heard the same thing on my truck, passenger side somewhere. A buddy of mine had the same problem on his 02 CTD, and his problem was one of the cab mounts was bad, but I can't imagin mine and everybody else's could be the same problem, especially seems how mine is brand new. Not sure if that's it or it's something else.

Overload clunks

On the 3500s the overload springs hitting the stops can give you the clunk you refer to. Put some weight in the back and see if it goes away. I'm not sure on the 2500s what you would be hearing. Ken Irwin

Yes, as my 2500 does not have overloads... wish it did. Thanks guys Ill crawl under and see if I cant find something. If nothing else Ill put a 5" skyjacker kit in and see if that helps :-laf :-laf :-laf :-laf :-laf
