When I tried to adjust the caster on my '97 4x4, I found that the bolt that turns the eccentric plates is frozen in the leading arm sleeve.

Does any body have suggestions on how to get this loose? On one hand, I'm tempted to heat the threaded end of the bolt with an acetylene torch, the worst it can do is screw up the rubber bushing assy ... which is already screwed up!

Can I buy a new leading arm rubber bushing with the steel sleeve in it? If I have to replace the leading arm, are there better sources than Dodge?

Help will be appreciated!

You can get the bushing from many sources, including Dodge. This is a common issue with the cam bolts. They are practically an interference fit and it doesn't take much to get them locked into the sleeve. The sleeve will break loose from the rubber sooner than the bolt in some cases. I simply could not get my last one on the driver side to budge when I installed a lift kit, ended up having to cut it out. The replacement bolts come from the dealer naturally and run $12-18 each. When you replace them be sure to use liberal amounts of Never Seize.

You might want to try some really good penetrating fluid like say crc556 or pb blaster spray extremely liberal amounts let it sit for a while and will probably break loose the nut those are both really good sprays :D:D:D:D

good luck :-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf
