Might I say, I challenge any "Depty Dog" to tag me for no cat! I bought a diesel and I dont like it smelling like a bad fart. I shed the cat on my Corvette 2 years ago and it made a rather big change in power and economy. . I rest my case! :-laf

PJ I would imagine you got a few fingers driving through Eugene as well. We have a bunch of freaks here. I still have my Bush sticker on my truck. Never had any one finger me yet, I can only hope. One lady in a Volvo glared at me once, her mistake, she was on my exhaust side with her window down. Can you say Black diesel smoke?

Geeezzzz, a fellow Oregonian giving me smack for shedding the cat! Must be a liberal from Portland or Ashland, the only two places in Oregon where they still smog anything (lawn mowers included) and Kerry thought he was king. When I drove my truck to a convention in Portland a month ago, i had my BUSH sticker on my back bumper. Way too many liberal #$%^&* up there gave me the number 1 sign. IM sure glad Im not a part of that end of the state! :-laf :-laf :-laf

Nope, I'm about as conservative as they come. I work in Portland and live in the Salem area (no DEQ down there. ) But, as a conservative, I do believe in obeying the law... we can certainly push to get the laws changed, but we should obey the ones in place. I thought it was just liberals who don't believe in obeying the law... aren't they the ones who think "everything is okay as long as it makes me happy"? I really don't care what you do, I just wouldn't do it.

Whatever make you happy. I tried to get Dodge to fix the white smoke problem and they cant seem to do so. Now they are saying it is the cat that is causing the problem. As far as obeying the law, I do so more than 99% of the people in this world. I also feel that it is MY truck and Uncle Sam didnt fork out a dime on it so to hell with ANYONE who thinks they can say what I can or can't do with my property. As I stated before, diesels should have black smoke, not white and should smell like a diesel, not a bad fart! :-{}

"As far as the EPA of Calif... . $crew them"

I second that and like to add the Endangered Species act as well ,but won't go on about it. [/QUOTE]

I too second both of these suggestions, and dont forget the freaks who close Off Road land because of a stupid plant!

Oh by the way my exhaust system is on its way also, with the cat eliminator of course.

Red-rider,, I pity you down there in Cal with the Sierra Club trying to kill off roading. I seen a bumper stick on the back of a toy hauler that explained it, it went like this. "Sierra Club, go hike to Hell!!"

And Red-rider, get those things out of your garage and put em on your truck. Take care,

Hey Motofreak,

I just installed my PG7 and the new torque tube, removed my silencer ring, :--) lets just say I got a big ***** smile on my face :-laf , sounds awesome, cant wait for the exhaust system, should be here next week.

Tell me about that supposed club  , and living in cali, my second amendment is going down the drain, WAIT, what second amendment in California, hopefully Bush and Ahnold can take care of some of this BS.

And Motofreak I keep telling the Fiancee that we need to sell the houses and move to another state, like good ol Texas, or maybe Oregon.

Another thing how about this as a Toybox sticker, BUT only in CALI of course.

“This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!” Adolf Hitler, 1935

You can actually order this sticker here

Red-Rider... When you are ready to bail out of Kolofornia, give me a holler. I have an awesome Log home that will knock your socks off. We are planning to sell once the wife finishes Medical School. One more year and it will be Dr. & Mr. P. B. Johnson. . I always wanted the Dr in front of my name!

Hey, i could be Dr. Phil... Hey, i kinda like that!

We are thinking of relocating in one of several spots. Ashland Oregon, St. George Utah, or Fallon Nevada. . Im wanting the Nevada address as there is NO STATE INCOME TAX! That is better than the no sales tax of Oregon! I will still keep my Oregon resident status for all my DMV! he he he. Ya gott love the fact that it cost me a whopp'n $60 to tag my truck for 4 years. . Thats right, thats $15 a year!. . It would be something like $1,500 a year in Calif. .

Never again! Oo. :D :-laf :-laf :-laf

Ill cut you a killer deal on this place. about 2200sq ft in the main house plus a 3 car garage and a very tall RV garage with an attached 22x24 office with a full bath on 8 view acres and a new paved 1/8 mile long driveway. . Property taxes are basically NOTHING in Oregon as long as you stay out of the liberal city of Portland. Its just a bit cold up here in the winter for my liking. The plus is Im 80 miles from the coast, 40 miles from Mt. Ashland to ski, and 20 miles from several lakes and 2 miles from 3 rivers! Anything you want, you have it here in Grants Pass. Check it out on a map!

As for removing the cat, I had my 04. 5 on the lift at the shop the other day and there are two clamps on each end of the cat that can be taken off then you can remove it. I plan on ordering my "test pipe" next week along with my MBRP muffler so I can let you know how easy it is. Looks to be only 6 nuts and both the muffler and cat are off.
