I purchased the above vehicle, an 08 3500 with the intentions of using it for a service truck for my farm... . will be putting on a ProngHorn 9000UT bed... ... my concern or question is regarding the emmissions deletions I would like to do... ... ... ... ... ... .....

What in your opinion is THE BEST combonations of or package deals to accomplish a CAT, EGR and DPF delete along with an appropriate tuner? Cost is a factor but NOT the number one concern...

Thank,,,,,,this will be my first 6. 7

H&S tuners and delete is the way to go... you can find a company that sells FLO-PRO exhaust and they will have the delete pipes... OR you can order a complete exhaust system for an 06 and will work just fine.

I used flo pro. Good stuff and easy to install. The clamps that came with mine were solid and I didn't bother to tack weld anything

My Smarty is the biggest headache to date. Smokes visibly at idle, stalls/chokes violently at half to full throttle and is a huge pain in the as$ to get it to work on the computer. I use Mozilla/Firefox and It is a nightmare unless your more computer savvy than I am. I really dislike the user interface with the Smarty too. Catcher, swr, revo... wtf? How about torque management (#1-3), and horsepower levels graduated in the actual added horsepower number to make it easier--I need the manual in my hand just to make sure I'm programming it correctly.

It pisses me off to throw that kind of money away, but I'm saving up for a H&S. I have several friends with the Smarty for their third gen Dodge's and they work great... too bad Mads dropped the ball on this one...

I don't have a Smarty but have had encounters at work with the Mozilla / Firefox combo. Firefox does not seem to work with our downloads for ThermoKing, my TK tech was going nuts trying to upgrade software in the new units, trying to link to ThermoKing was impossible. Trying to change the PC board over from Celcius to Farenheit was an all day project if a flash was required. I finally told our IT team (Huey and Duey) to get that POS out of that laptop and get IE8 in there so we could get the simplest, most basic stuff done. That made life a lot easier.

I think Firefox is OK for a lot of things but no good for what you are trying to do. IMHO...

I have to agree with Mike on this one it is not the Smarty that is causing the issue it is your Mozilla/Firefox that is the problem.

I have had my Smarty S67 installed since Nov 09 on my 08 with MBRP exhaust system on the truck. I have gone thru several updates to the Smarty program with no performance issue at all I followed the Smarty instructions to the T when I installed the program and I am extremely happy with the setup.

I believe that H&S make a fairly good programmer but I have no experience with it to judge it against the Smarty. My son who has a side business of diesel performance installs on trucks in the area has used a Smarty SR in is 06 since new. He is now of the opinion that the best programmer on the market today is EFF Live which he installed this spring in his 06.
