I had a "discussion" with a dude last night that swore up and down that he owned a 1989 dodge with a Cat engine in it :-{} . I told him there was no way in he!! it was stock if it did have a Cat in it. After about 2-3 mins of argueing back and forth he just walked away  .

I was right? Right Oo.

How big was the truck? IN a pickup, DC did not do that! SNOKING

It was a ram 2500, the same as mine?? Someone probably told him it was a Cat not a cummins and it stuck in his head for all these years!

Snoking, are those dyno #'s with the comp and jammer injectors? Just wonderiing.

Comp is not tapped into VP44, HY35 Turbo and we are not sure the torque converter was locked, as I am working an issue regarding that. SNOKING

I almost bought a set of jammer injectors, but after finding the DDII's in the classifieds for 325$ I went that way. After dynoing this past sat I'm glad I got the II's. They gave me 110HP and 214TQ alone!!!

cat in ram

In the 80's one of the magazines ran a feature of cat v8 in a 3/4 ton pickup. I think it was a 3408 in a Ford though.

Would've been a 3208 Cat (636 CID). 3408 is WAY to big. A 3406 is a I-6, 14. 6L. 3408 is bigger.

I think a 3208 would fit in a '80s Ford, but it would be tight.

That looks like a Perkapillar to me. Is that a 3114? Or is it a 6 cyl and some of the engine is hiding?

I was counting notches on the drivers side of the valve cover and came up with 5. Very confessing! SNOKING

I noticed that too, and to my knowledge neither CAT nor Perkins makes a 5 cylinder. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think I am. I've never seen one anyways, and I see them every single day at school and work.

Wierd.
