juicedcummins,
The hanger diameter is the same as the stock system designed by Dodge, the MBRP systems has to use the same diameter to fit the rubber mounts that are under the truck. Otherwsie you'd have to replace all the rubber mounts with something else. Now I will agree with you that they are a smaller diameter than what Ford/GM usess on their diesel exhaust systems, but Dodge also uses a larger number of hangers so it sort of washes out strength wise.
As far as your drone it is unusual, especially with the resonator mounted as far forward as possible in the system. All the customers we have sent a resonator to have told us it cured any amount of drone they had, so long as it was mounted waaaay forward etc. Wonder if you're running low numerical differential gears, towing as heavy pulling a double and running at a low RPM that has the engine lugging a lot. If so even a stock system will start to vibrate and make a lot of extra drone under those conditions etc. Is the muffler you added a packed muffler, if not it will actually amplify the drone you have not help it. The cheapy systems we sell against always have a hollow can muffler as the packing materials and labor is expensive and that is where the cheapy systems cut corners.
