Got a question... . I'm going to get my Donaldson muffler installed tomorrow and have been brainstorming on ways to get the cat off there.

Here's what I've come up with... . why cant I go 12 inches or so on each side of the cat with a sawzall and install a stainless pipe the same length of the section that was cut out and attach everything with band clamps? Is there a reason why this wouldn't work? If I ever needed to reattach the cat I would just have to remove the band clamps, the test pipe, and reinstall the cat with the band clamps?

What does everyone think?

MBRP makes a cat delete pipe that i just put on my 07 cummins the part # MBRP-DS9417. i believe retail is $80 for the cat delete pipe.

or you could just take a piece of 1" pipe and a sledge and beat out the cat guts ...

that's what i did ...

nobody will ever know the diff
