cat test pipe. anybody use one?

i'm thinking about getting a cat test pipe. i already replaced the muffler with a walker straight through 36 inch exhaust. how hard is it to change back and fourth between the test pipe and cat? thanks. . james

Cat test pipe equals straight 4" tubing. Have your local muffler shop make you up something.

I use one and have no complaints. I keep meaning to take it off but this is a long term test. :-laf

I replace my cat w/a test pipe from diesel performance 61. 00 it bolted right up. there is only 1 problem when u remove the cat u have 2 cut it off because of the way they crimp it on.

increased my mileage 1. 5 much better throttle response.

Using a mbrp 149. 00 diesel performance. bully dog has exact same w/o pipe extension or hangers.

i did notice a difference on sound nothing else.

just a big glass pac.

What repair did they void the warranty for? I thought they had to state that your mod caused or contributed to the repair. I would think that a cat test pipe, albeit illegal, wouldn't harm your truck mechanically in any way.

It doesn't, legally. But, if you let the dealer screw you over, they can claim that it is voided. I would put my foot up the dealer's ***** if they tried that **** with me. :-laf
