Will putting a Cat Test Pipe on void my warranty or cause an issue if I have to take truck to the dealer for any work. ????

I have one on my 05 and I just had it at the dealer for an Injection Pump issue and they never said a thing about the cat being gone. They did comment on my AFE set up but not a word about the cat or should I say lack of. I had one of the service guys tell me it sounded nice for a diesel. Guess it depends on the dealership.

I made my own test pipe with the exhaust bender, some 4" pipe (had to be swelled), and some 3/8's steel rod (hanger). When I take the truck to the dealer (rarely) they have always make me pay out of my pocket so I honestly don't care for the warranty since I am so used to paying out of pocket. It might only depend on where you take it. When I do take the truck to any shop they do love the truck when they see it, then they start it and its too loud for them. money is hard to come by and with diesel in 2. 50's I will take my straight pipe any day. It has saved me thousands in fuel. Honeslty If I was used to warranty paying my bills then had to pay for lets say a new injector pump from mopar, the straight pipe would have bought me a couple injector pumps from the dodge dealer by now. So in all honesty its all going to be in someones opinion whether or not the straight pipe caused the problem why the truck in the shop. Really the only harm done when installing straight pipe is sound pollution is intensivied and turbo spools up quicker with more boost. If the dealer wants to not warranty your truck cuz of a straight pipe either find another dealer or repair the truck yourself using common sense and TDR and learn along the way.

Its Good To Find A Dealer And Speak To The Service Manager , My Local Dealer Works On My Truck All The Time , They Can Hear The Fass 150 Pump I Have When I Drive In But They Are Cool About It, So Talk To Some Local Service Mangers And See What They Say , Talk To The One That Works At The Dealership You Bought The Truck From First ,
