I pulled my catalitic converter off today after reading that a stopped up converter causes a drop in fuel milage. I had taken my truck in for warranty 30,000 miles back for that reason and they never did get my milage back up where it had been before. I noticed that it idles about 100 rpms more now so I figure there must have been a restriction. What I would like to know is how to gut this blasted thing. On my last truck I took an iron bar and poked the guts out of it. This one it is like beating on an anvil; doesn't faze it a bit. How do I gut this thing?
