Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) catcher and comp?

I am probably going to look for a used catcher ecm mainly to get rid of the de-fueling from the start and top end. I dont like how the RAD works. so my question is do I need a special flash or something to use it with the comp? and if I get onw what do I need to do to use it in my truck? Thanks

If you can afford it get the smarty instead. I have the smarty and comp with wire tap and its a great combo. The smarty and probably the catcher would too takes the low end lag out of the comp. but the adajustability and code reader feature of smarty is nice. with the comp at 5x5 and smarty at level eight you can make the car next to you disappear if they deserve a fogging. or you can turn the smarty down and drive with no smoke. No fun factor in that though! I have a stock turbo so thats probably the reason mine smokes.

I dont care about the codes, I work for Cummins. my biggest thing is the de-fueling on the bottom end, I plan on running in the area of 155 hp injectors as well and dont really care about smoke. not sure if i will have the money for a smarty thats why I ask about the catcher
