I just returned from a test drive . If you want your truck to be responsive you need to get one. I was concerned the throttle was going to be like having the Comp box on level 5/5, very touchy. Not at all. I took off on my normal route and this truck rocks. When I took off I was not sure I had an increase in power, until I gave her a little peddle and I was gone. Throttle response is not real touchy, you need to accellerate smoothly. I spun the tires, when I wanted to . The fun factor just went up. I reduced injector size from 150hp to 80hp, it feels as if I have the power back. WOW!!!!
Marco, this is definately worth the wait. Thanks, Sam.
It's great seeing these enthusiastic CaTCHER reports comming in. I've been running mine now for 7 weeks & 3,300 miles. I'm not having any problems with throttle sensitivity or any thing. It just takes a little time to adjust to. My worst milage for a tank of fuel was 17. 15 towing about 7. 000 lbs. My best tank ran 23. 4 about half at steady highway cruise. I never use full throttle as my clutch is not up to the challange. 2/3 throttle is enough to keep ahead of one of those new supercharged Impalas.
If we only bought what we needed we would not every have anything we wanted. I did not need a wife, but I wanted one. :-laf
Asked my wife why she need 20 pairs of shoes? She said she did not need them, but that she wanted them... ... . I did not need a CaTHER but I want one and got it... .
I "needed" the CaTCHER to improve my fuel economy..... My wife decided she didn't "need" me so now she's gone & I only have to consult with my check book. :-laf
Hey guys any of you out there running the catcher with an older va box I have an ecm on the way and the va box in my truck now should i leave it in or take it out?

With my box which is the same thing as the VA, I really could not tell the difference with or without it. I suggestion is unplug it throw it behind the seat and you will never need it again once you install the CaTHER.
I have a new Southbend clutch in the works so I am not worried about that. I was just wondering what my next step is to get some more power out of the beast? I ordered some dd2's my next step it think is a bigger turbo and mabye some sort of fueling box but i dident know which one would work best.
I just got done with installing the CaTCHER in a 2001 5 speed,275 small horses ,Install 1/2 hour,The test drive was great, throttle,go peddle was just right, power when you need it,the motor will do the same job at 1/4 throttle as of 3/4 throttle before, and the cruise works perfect. Thanks Marco & The big D
