I have read about this in the forums but hae not seen any ads or places to buy them. If anyone can help with a website or other please advise.

I got mine from Bob Wagner. Do a member search to find him. He calls it a Catcher.

Also you can get one from Advanced Diesel. They call it the MAD Ecm.

Catcher/MAD ECM are one and the same.

They are a replacment Engine Control Module (the computer on the driver's side of your engine block with the huge harness attached) with custom, performance software.

The ECM must be programmed to your particular year truck, and accounts for emissions differences and option differences.

Best source: Bob Wagner--> www.wagnerandassociates.biz

The ECM changes the response and performance of the engine so radically it's hard to describe. Many fueling boxes on the market can add to what the ECM does, but NONE can do what it does.

I'm looking at getting one very soon:D

Fox, what kind of HP and mileage figures have you got with your setup? :)

Dunno on the HP, but the mileage is as good or better than stock, I got over 20 unloaded on the last road trip. Get one, best mod yet(except maybe the Don's 1. 6 sticks) Drivability is awesome! :D

I figure mine is about 325HP. It hasn't been on a dyno.

With the PDRHX 40, it is fun to drive, with spool-up being a little slow with my dump trailer behind it. I just walk slowly into the throttle to manage smoke.

Daily mileage is 16 empty, best highway has been 22. 4 but usually it is around 20.

With this ECM, I told a friend once that I felt it had enough power.

HE MADE MY TAKE IT BACK. Statements like that were wrong he said!!!

This winter both of us are building twins/compound turbo set-ups. I will add the TST PM 3 that I have then.

He was right!!!

Mike, ask Bob for a test drive. Get it from him and ask for a return in 30 days if not happy. But, you will keep it, so figure the money is spent. !

I have driven a stock ECM since the Catcher and won't put one back on my truck. Such dogs!!!

Hmmmm, I may give him a call and see what he will do for me. What is this talk about slowly rolling into the throttle rather than punching it? Is that just for smoke control? If i do go with it, I may run it with 1. 6s or 2. 0s. You are right, the stockers are a dog and i've never even driven one modded. :D

Mike-- I have a Catcher coming for more testing here shortly, and I'll give Lance Moon a ride in my truck...

You can contact him to find out what he thinks:)

Oh, have you seen his new Power Wagon??

Yes he did send me a pic of his truck, pretty sweet looking. Tell him that it would look just a wee bit better if it had a nice little C on the front quarter. He did say he wasn't at all impressed with the mileage, but everthing else was awsome. When you take him for a ride, make sure you wear the biggest cowboy hat you can find, tuck your wranglers into your boots and of course, play country music in the truck... I can just hear him now, LOL. BTW, he hates Frontier Days. :D

JKinney, I ran my Catcher with stock exhuast and 275 injectors and had no ill effects... . But, that said, you will need the exhaust system when the injectors and turbo come in the mail..... Then the clutch will be needed to hold the system together... ... . Then... ... ... .

I think you get the picture :)

Spend the money and have fun!

Correct, you want to roll into it slowly, especially if there are Police cars around. The Catcher smokes quite a bit on the bottom, when I put the 1. 6's in it didn't really change the smoke pattern. No smoke at higher RPM's, just tons of power!!!!
