My Catcher works in Cruise but I do get - well for lack of better words - a surge. I mean it almost acts as though you are putting the throttle down a little and releasing it. The boost gauge goes from 0 to up to 10 - on flat ground... . This occurs about every 5 seconds... ... . usually I don't use cruise but I do go on extended trips across the country - driving constantly for hour upon hour and the cruise is needed then... ... Anybody else experience this ????

Just got mine 3 weeks ago and yes it does the same thing. Haven't thought about it much because I've been having too much fun driving around town. I

have read about some problems with the cruise before the purchase but decided to buy anyway. Will see which wins out, the fun factor or my bad right knee on long drives.

Some users have commented that the more aggressive low-RPM function creates a much more noticeable (objectional) surge as the CC adjusts to changing driving conditions...

Perhaps that is one reason DC didn't use that sort of fueling curve themselves? ;) :D

There ain't no free lunch... :D :D

You can put a needle valve in the vacuum line to the CC actuator. Close it 1/2 turn till it behaves. Dosen't take much time to tune it or install it. You can find the vacuum modulator under the drivers side battery. Of course this only works if you don't the electronic CC. 01. 5 and up 6 speeds have the ECC.

Did you get the surge before, just using the Comp? Or is it worse with/without the Comp now? I get the surge if I'm 2x3 or higher, of course it gets worse on higher levels. My ECC doesn't care for the $7. 85 lunch! :p

No Surge before ......

and I have driven 50,000 miles with my latest mods - BUT I never drove with the cruise on above 2x2 - didn't need to... ... .

Keep hearing different stories on the Catcher and Cruise Control. If the damn thing can't operate with the CC turned on... it's useless to me.

As far as I know, there are no problems with cc on your model year. What is critical is, Marco must know what soft ware is in your original ECM. If he is given the wrong info problems begin to appear. Ask a friendly  CaTCHER dealer for details.
