A little off topic... ... . my neighbor went out to run his tractor for some field work, and it started acting funny, making loud screeches and the sound of belts squealing under the hood... ... ... so he shuts it down, pops the hood (aka the cowling), and all this white fur floats out! Further examination shows a BALD cat wedged between a pulley and belt... ... . cat wasn't moving or making any noise. So, after a bit of work he removed said cat from the engine. The cat was basically "bald" from where the belt(s) got him... ... and felt like a limp dish rag. Seeing no collar and believing it was dead, he walks over to the drainage ditch, and winds up and lobs it into the ditch. He turns to walk back to the tractor and out of the corner of his eye catches a movement-----a big hawk came down off a power pole and was headed for the cat, WHO HAD COME BACK TO LIFE AFTER HITTING THE COLD WATER... ... ..... before my pal could really do anything (like what?) the hawk grabs the cat, and with a great deal of effort, gets altitude and heads off to a grove of trees with the squirming bald cat in his talons!!!
I guess puddy used up all 9 lives on that one... .....
If people controlled their pets we wouldn't be having this discussion I suppose... ... ... .
oh well... ...
