Thought I'd do a follow up on the cat situation.

A Google search came up with citrus concoctions and vinegar.
Eldo2k families remedy was bleach.
So I came home from Dollar Tree with lemon scented bleach.

Made 2 bottles by pouring half into a milk jug and making 1:1ratio's with water.
Drilled holes in upper part of bottles for leaching purposes and placed each bottle in front of a headlight.

Happy to say I haven't seen a paw print in seven days now.
Usually would be about 4 times a week.

I think I got those sons of bleaches on the run.

Install dog...works every time kidding aside, most canine and feline critters don't care for citrus scent, glad it worked for you.

Paw Prints are better than the critters eating the wires. It’s a mouse factory this year. Mouse/packrat/rat/chipmunk/squirrel... Roof-rats, bunnies. Bunnies eat everything including roses this year.

Keep the cats. We got a Bobcat and now a baby Bobcat in the area and the critters are still numerous.

This was the surprise I found upon removal of the alternator on my 08 3v 4.6L...altenator sets in the valley of the engine completely blocking the view. Can you say shocked

I'm really leaning more and more towards a cat. Tried alot of temporary measures but they are just that. I've kept guns by the door but them little buggers scram at people's presence and I'm just not around enough to make it a long term solution anyhow.

I've been slowly coaching the wife on the Matter, indoor vs outdoor.... not that it will do any good

Try Bounce fabric softener towels. Lay a few of them in engine compartment or wherever the rodents are getting in. It works as a deterrent and replace when the fragrance dissipates.

I have used these sheets out on Catalina keeps the critters out I have a barn but got to real careful one day going to fall down, when wind blows it leans.
