A cattle guard goes across a road (at a gate) to keep the cows in the pasture.
I have 7 of these, works fine for cattle but makes grading the road a real pain with my Cat 12 Grader. As far as Grill guards go I second the Southwest Fabricators brand.
With real world experiance here in Northeastern WY. I have hit 2 Good size Muleys
and one average Elk. The Elk dented the lower right diamond plate (SLIGHTLY)
and the tip of the antler wrapped around the heavy pipe and put a very small cresent moon dent in the right fender, matter of fact it looks about like this: ( .
I did forgive him about 10 steaks later ... ... ... ... .
Anyway the Southwest Fabricators Is my HOT TIP.
