Any ideas what would cause a loss of power/loss of smoke while using my smarty on 5. Fuel pressure has'nt changed since the loss of power. I just can't pull it down to zero as easily anymore. Boost is still good, the turbo just dies'nt seem to light as quickly anymore. I know there are a lot of variables that could be causing my problems, but I'm not sure where to start looking. Any help is appreciated.

FCA on cp3, Relief valve on rail. . Them two would be the first thing I would check... Wes

might do a leak test on your hoses from the turbo and into the intake manifold. check the impeller on the turbo for play any play is pretty much bad. check for hidden codes. is your filter dirty (fuel or air)? my 03 lost power and never could figure it out. i think there are some ecm issues with 03 and up dodges.

I noticed today that it seems as good or better with Smarty on 1 as it does on 5 now. So something, somewhere is out of whack. I've got a pretty good idea of how to check the FCA and was actually thinking of modding it anyway. The relief valve on the other hand is a different story. How would you check it? I am going to look into the other things that were mentioned to see if that leads me anywhere. Any other ideas/advice? Many thanks!! RJ

Ya know, I have noticed the same thing in my 05. The Silver66 just doesn't seem to light as quick anymore. Much more lag, and when it does, it doesn't seem like the boost comes on as hard as it once did. I noticed this after my 275/70 Toyo's went on. Could this be the issue? Also have not cleaned the airfilter or fuel filter since last summer. Could this be the issue? How many miles before the 2 micron filters need to be changed?

So I checked out all of the things mentioned above and all seems to be well. So I again must ask for help.

With my Smarty on a 90 hp. setting either by itself or even stacked with my Juice, I can't even slip my clutch anymore! When I first installed my Smarty, just level one (30 hp. ) would slip the clutch. Why not anymore?

I can still get 28 psi out of the turbo but egt's now quickly shoot to 1000, 1100, 1200 plus!

As I mentioned before, fuel pressure won't drop as easily as it used to. At full throttle, 80-90 mph, whatever, I can't bring the fuel pressure down to zero anymore. I used to be able to accomplish this with far less effort.

Like I said, I checked all the things mentioned previously in this thread, FCA-okay, now modded, rail pressure relief valve-okay, fuel and air filter-both clean.

What the heck is going on? I'm just about out of ideas. I know someone out there has the solution or can at least get me pointed in the right direction. Please help!!!

I had the same problems. Problem was the connecter tubes from the common rail to the injectors, replaced all the tubes and torqed to specs, no more problems. I went for 6months with a lack of power, changed cp3, relief valve etc, etc. finally found a good mechanic and he knew what to look for.
