Caution... Boost Pressure Tester
Made up a boost pressure leak testor, similar to the ones on TDR threads, using a 4" plumbers black boot, and a 4" PVC end cap, along with other parts. The plumbers boot was clamped to the PVC end cap with a metal screw clamp. Put in on the Turbo intake and pressurized the system to about 10psi. Did this a couple of times, and on the third time, the PVC end cap shot off the boot (clamp would not hold it) and bounced off the engine and into the face of my brother. Chipped a chunk of this front tooth off.
Just a word of caution to those of you planning on making one of this up. Find a better way to clamp the end cap on, if you value your health. The clamp on the turbo intake was fine, as there is a ridge on the turbo intake to hold the clamp on...
