CB antenna for camper shell on or off???

I bought a Uniden PC78 Elite & need to buy an antenna. I usually run with an open bed, but I have an aluminum camper shell I put on fron time to time.

Which setup would be the least affected by the change in configuration?

I'd hate to have to tune it each time I switch.

I was planning a Wilson 1000 on the roof, probrably on a mag base, just seems wrong to drill a hole in the roof

I'm running a 5000 magnetic... I have no problem with SWRs...



I recently mounted a Francis FireStick on the door using a body mount... I had to go this route since I'm putting a slide in camper in the truck now...
