Mine is mounted in the Stake hole of the bed on the passanger side front. The coax is then ran down to the bottom of the bed and to the cab along the frame rail. The cable comes up under the passanger seat next to the jack with good sealant to seal the hole.

I mounted mine to my headache rack. No pics/no garage here. My cell antenna is the same, on the headache rack. Do a site search, sure to be someone here with some pics posted.

I just drilled a 3/4" hole in my roof  and mounted my Wilson 1000 there, best ground plane available and nice and tall!

Rogeeeeeeeeer! I had a W1000 magnet mount and went to a W1000 roof mount, big difference in recieve Oo.

I went a few inches behind the dome light, close to the support strut and drilled with a step drill. From there, with the dome light removed, I could fish the coax down the "B" pillar. The coax comes out under my seat and into my foot warmer, which then goes under the edge of the console to the radio on the knee bolster. I've got 10ga from the driver side battery to the radio, and 8ga to the box ... ... ... ... ..... 50 miles is easy without skip!

I mount mine on driver side edge of hood

:D I have the mount that clips on the edge of the hood on the driver side of the hood and no holes plus there a rubber gasket between the hood and mount to protect the paint. I use a K40 which works well and I can take it off and put behind the seat when I park the truck and I am going to be gone for a long time.

Got mine at Radio Shack $15 and goes under the hood just like my 94 did. took one bolt off and added mount and drilled small screw hole to insure no twisting.

I did the same thing. If you pull out the dome light and drill at the edge or just behind it, you can work thru that opening to install. Then I removed the passenger A pillar and fished the wire over to that corner of the headliner, and ran it down without having to remove the headliner. (looks like a big job that really isn't needed for this)

EDIT: OOOPS, I should've read further before posting. I hate when I do that.
