CB Antenna questions and pics.

Ok, just ordered everything I need to do the install.



I won't be using it that often, so I plan to mount the CB in the lower seat storage (since there is nothing in it now) and running a small remote speaker. Should be easy access as long as the armrest is up.

wow I am really starting to think I screwed something up tried starting the truck and cb was on truck ran all rough, turned off cb truck ran fine

Where are you drawing power from for the CB? Don't use a circuit that is shared by any components connected to the ECM. I'm using the lighter port in the dash and have never had a problem. I've heard the recommended power source is to draw directly off the battery, using an inline fusein the power cord.

I have a painless wiring kit that is mounted in the driver side storage under rear seat. power comes from batt. like I said called quadzilla and they told me it does happen. there box gets the signal when you key the mike. it acts like an antenna.

every thing is fine when i disconect the quad box
