Has anyone come up with a good place to mount a CB antenna that's not in the bed of the truck? I used to always mount it on the mirrors; however, I see no way to do that with the trailer towing mirrors. Due to racks and stuff I can not place it in the bed. The roof is out too, stuff extends over that area. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Dave: Thanks so much for the information and pictures. I found the site, will order one today. I really appreciate the photos.

i had the firestik cb mount at one time, was unable to get a good enough ground to drop my SWR's. im now using a 102" steel whip mounted on my rear ranch hand bumper.

ive also had great success with my wilson 5000 trucker antenna on a mag mount. hope that info helps.

Not sure what kind of racks you have, but why not mount it on the rack? I put mine on my headache rack.

See my readers rig pics.

Run a short piece of coax braid or other braided cable from the mount to a good ground - should really help the SWR match problems. I had a Firestick mount on a previous truck and it came with a short piece of braid for that purpose.
