I've done a search on this topic, but didn't see much. I might have messed it up though.

Has anyone installed a CB in a quad cab '04? I've got a manual transmission too.

Just wondering how/where people ran their antenna cord and where they mounted their CB.

Thanks,

Dave

Can't help you with the CB mount since you interior is far different from my '02, but go www.firestik.com and you'll find all the antenna cords and mounts and great advice (FAQ page) you need. I have the bed stake pocket mounts, ran the wire down between the bed sheetmetal and the inner bed wall, under the cab, and up through the floor of the truck. Also, check out my friend's site. He did his CB install on his 03 CTD, and pictures are online at:

Good luck. I HIGHLY recommend Firestik. If you call them, they will gladly advise you on you system needs, and even custom make antennas if you want. Very good stuff IMO.

I agree on the Cobra 75 WX ST. Good radio from what I've seen in my friend's truck. Full featured, 4 watts, but the speaker is small in that handheld, and sound quality does suffer quite a bit. I have the Cobra 29 WX NW ST Limited Edition. Had it for a long time, and love it. Been in three different trucks, and is still a great radio.

heres mine. It is mounted on the front of the center console. A wooden console that replaces the center seat. It is a cooler so the CB is mounted right to the front...
