Anybody found a good place to mount a CB in the cab of a Laramie with bucket seats? My copilot is not too keen on the idea of mounting it on the passenger side of the transmission hump. :-{}

Also looking for an antenna bracket to mount on the front hood area. The shape of the hood is going to make that tough:confused:

The bracket available from Geno's works well with the center console configuration. I'm not familiar with seating in bucket seat models so don't know if it is adaptable to yours or not. I've been using a Geno's bracket since early in 2006.

I went with one of the remote CB's. The "radio" part is under the dash and the controls are all on the mike as well as the speaker. I just put it in the console, but you could mount it on the clip provided if you want to drill a couple of holes in the dash.

Just mounted mine under the glove box and drilled two holes on the metal frame. First time around, I drilled two screws for my cb radio on Tyne center hump and spliced into a wire. But I got it fix. If you decide to use the center hump, use the sides and be careful not to hit wire. There is a 1 inch vent that runs on top of the hump for the back center vents. I starred at my interior too trying to find a sweet spot. Ended up putting it on the bottom. My buddy at 6'3 @ 200 lbs got in and had room for his big feet.

The one mentioned above is the same one I used. It can be mounted about anywhere and works quite well, but is a little larger in the hand than a standard mike.

I mounted mine on an '08 on the drivers side of the console by my knee. I had the one with all the controls in the mic, but didn't care for it, so put it in wifes car and bought a new Bearcat.

In dash CB

I mounted mine in the dash under the A/C controls. I had to cut the dash with a red hot box knife and make mounting braces for the inside but it works great. I mounted the antenna on my toolbox and had the whole thing tuned by a CB shop.
