looking for a place around nw arkansas that works on cb's... . any help would be appriciated. my swr are way high above 3 and i am leaving soon for a run to virginia and would rather not burn up my radio

There are some truckstops around me here but the closest cb shop that is know is 100 miles i was just hoping to find someone local on here and hopefully they could help

While not an expert, it sounds like bad antenna, bad cord or bad connections. Above 3 is not connected to antenna. The cheap and quick route would be to buy a mag mount antenna with attached cord. This won't have the distance of a properly tuned 4' antenna w/cord. It should have a low SWR to work unless the rig is burnt up. Check Wal Mart and Amazon.
