I also installed a Cobra under the seat. The wire lays in the crack between driver's seat and middle seat. Mike hangs down. Put some carpet on seat mount to protect mike.



I installed a speaker in the back door of my Quad Cab. Took the plastic loose and found a spot just big enough for a Radio Shack speaker. Drilled some 1/8th inch holes in a pleasing pattern and it looks almost stock. Hardly see the holes.



The speaker is just about ear heighth and nothing sticks out.

Thanks guys. For now I plan on using one of the Cobras I already have - one is one of those mini ones that is not too highly regarded by people I have talked to. It just doesn't have good sound for one thing and I don't think it gets out very good. The other one - the one I want to use - is a big 'ole Cobra - one of the first 40 channels and even has side band. A guy at work cranked it up for me and it puts out pretty good. The problem with it is it's big. I'll play around with where it might fit. One idea is maybe on the back of the center counsel with the face up.
