I have 3 CB's and 2 antennas that I need checked. Does anybody know of a good shop for service and sales in the Long Beach-Cypress CA area?

I was going to refer you to a place in Anaheim where I had my President 10 meter/Single/Dbl Sideband CB overhauled about six or seven years ago, and can't find the receipt in my files.

So... call Ham Radio Outlet in Anaheim (714) 533-7373 and see if they can give you a referral. Also, a fellow who knows more about this stuff than anyone is Gordon West -- WB6NOA -- in Costa Mesa, who teaches ham classes all over the country. He doesn't repair radios any more, but knows who does, including CB. You need to send him a fax -- that's the best way to contact him -- he'll send a fax in response, with the info. His fax # is (714) 434-0666. If area code 714 doesn't work, use 949.

Another person who might know where to send you is Steve Riches, N6SOG, who runs a sophisticated Orange County private ham repeater that caters to law enforcement personnel who are hams. His number in so. Calif is (714) 551-3532. Again, if 714 doesn't work, use 949.

Too bad you are not in Texas. . there are a million awesome, reputable CB Shops here! I have one in almost every town in case something goes wrong! What kind of radios do you have, and what is wrong with them??
