CB, SWR giving me fits

I got my antenna moved to the rear edge of the toolbox last weekend. My SWR droped a lot, just barely moves when I key the mic. I changed coax too. I don't recall the size on the coax, but it's a lot bigger. Haven't had a chance to check the range thow. Thanks for the input, RC.

I have the same mount w/a grant lt and a 3' K-40. It has the slide adjustment over the coils at the top. I tried several antennas and didn't have much luck until this one.



A ham friend of mine w/ a good meter set it for me. As I recall it was 1-1:2. He said that it was excellent. Another friend of mine got a wilson 5000 on the same mount with a 6' whip and went through he** trying to tune it until he bought an extension for the base that raised it about 10".



I wanted to keep mine low to get in and out of the garage. I get out well with it. The friend with the wilson and I talked clearly for about 8mi with 5 watts to see how they were doing so I guess we're ok .
