Has anyone had "ccd" displayed on their overhead console? Mine does it once and awhile, then reverts to normal operation. Truck runs fine. Service manual makes refernce to "ccd" but just says that a DRB scan tool is required for further diagnosis.

Thanks folks,

ccd and instrument cluster

I got the "ccd" message on mine when my instrument cluster quit... exactly what parcher said... indicates a buss failure of some type.

I had the same problem after power washing the underside of my truck. I also lost all dash gages, over head console showed CCD, and had ABS and check engine lights on  . Truck ran fine, drove it home and after a few minutes of (panic) looking on the underside I found a large connector located inside the drivers side wheel well. I pulled it apart and washed it out WD40 and haven't had a problem since. I still need to pack it with dyrlectic silicone before it snows. I would guess that with the location of this connector right behind the front drivers tire, it tend to get wet with all kinds of road nasties. :--)

Hope this helps,

Kyle :D

Thanks

Thanks CrewCabDiesel for the suggestion.

I know of the connector you are referring to and will pull it apart tomorrow and clean it out. What a crummy place to locate a connector.

Mine will display ccd when I am uploading a new program to the ECM with my Superchips programer, works alot like the DRB tool--key on, key off, wait, yadda yadda yadda.
