2004 VW SUV With V10 TDI?

Hey guys,

I bought a 6 disc kenwood cd changer form my younger bro and I'm just curious where you guys have installed yours if you have 'em.

My truck is the single cab... it looks like there is enough room under the seat, or behind the seat.

Since this is my first changer, I'm just curious to find out any tricks, tips, or things I should look out for to make sure the installation works best (i. e. should I use rubber bushings under the unit to give it more shock proofing, stuff like this).....

I also bought a new kenwood cassette/stereo off ebay that should control the changer... . I should be able to pick up mounting kits for this at best buy or any place that installs stereo's right?

I installed mine under the middle seat on my last truck which was a regular cab. Easy access.

You do have to remove the seat to do this though. Have a friend handy. :)

Installed my Alpine 12 CD Changer under the front passenger seat. No real problems, worthwhile removing the seat first and lifting the carpet to get a smooth and almost undetectable cable run. Other stereo-related stuff in the truck profile below.....

I mounted my Pioneer 12 disc under the passenger seat also. Ran the cables under the carpet. I have the quad cab so I mounted min facing rearward but there should be plenty of room under there to face it forward in yours. Lots of open miles of road here and the changers are a blessing when there are are only one or two stations that can be tuned in.
