I have a 1997 AM-FM-Cassette radio in my 1996. It's the one with the five slider equalizer and the buttons that are supposed to control an add-on CD changer. It has square face edges, and doesn't say "Infinity" anywhere on it. I'd like to add a CD changer but I don't want to spend $400. I like the radio and the controls, so I don't want to replace it with an aftermarket one. (And so many of the aftermarket radios look like UFOs with neon lights . . . )

Who makes changers that'll connect to my radio? How do I connect them? (I am basically ignorant and seek guidance, y'see. ) And I thank you.

Any of the fm modulated models would work, but I cant help you on the use of the factory buttons unless you could find a factory changer(never an option on the trucks only cars)

go to crutchfield.com. there is 1, an alpine, that will hook up correctly. it will run you about 375 bucks tho.

you have the same radio I have, and the radio doesn't say infinity on it, butthe speaker covers will on the front doors.

Supposedly a factory type will hook up with a special cable. The radio does have some sort of connector on the back. :)
