cd player face sratched up

I have noticed on my 04 that the cd player plastic face seems severly scratched. It is not noticaeable, except when the light hits it a certain way. It is very annoying at certain angles. Has anyone else noticed this, does it scratch easily , I think mine was scraqtched up from the factory. I have never really scrubbed it off , so I dont see how i could have scratched it up. Is there a part number for this plastic piece.

Mine is all scratched up also. Seems like it came from the dealer that way. I guess I didn't think much of it since it was a demo... What about the rest of you?

Yepper, mine was that way from the factory. I've been good and p'oed about it since day one.

It must be really soft plastic. I think i may hit my dealer up about it, if it would happen to be a replaceable part number.

I wonder if the plastic scratch-removing polish used on motorcycle helmet visors and windshields would take the scratches out? It's available at any motorcycle shop.

I have tried the plastic polish on mine, I think the brand is Novus, works pretty well I also used it on the instrument cluster guages.

you took the protective plastic film off it didn't you?... I know mine was still on when I picked the truck up and I wasn't 2 miles down the road peeling it off... been shiney like new ever since.
