Ceiling consoles

Anyone have an overhead console other than factory, for CB's, switches or whatever? If so how did you mount it to the ceiling? I found a company called Wabbits that makes a console, but for $320 bucks, that's a little steep. Going to try to make one myself but am not sure about securing it. I'm refering to a console that runs in the center of the ceiling from front to rear instead of the side to side design like Steel Horse makes, which is actually just a shelf. I believe there are some braces between the headliner and the roof that you can attach to.

I'm going to pull the headliner down and take a look see. Now that I've done my clearance lights, drilling holes in the ceiling don't seem that spooky anymore, as long as it ain't all the way through!!! but as always take it slow. Let you guys know what I find.
