CEL Check

Got a CEL this morning, everything seems find. I'm taking it in Thursday, but would like to know what the code is ahead of time. I don't have a scanner of anyway to read, is there a key on/off sequence that can be used on the 07 5. 9? Thanks in advance. Oo.



07 2500 QC SWB 5. 9 48RE. Gauges but no other mods.

I just posted a similar thread. Turn the key on and off fairly rapidly three times, leaving it on the third time. Your code(s) should be displayed on the odometer. It will say DONE when finished. I'd be interested to know if your code is P2609 like mine is.

I got a CEL a year ago. Tried this procedure, no codes. Got another CEL last week, again no codes. In all cases the CEL indicator cleared after three or four start stop events. I recall seeing a thread by a TDR member that Dodge disabled the key-mode code access in later models (post 2005). Anyone have info on this?
