Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) CEL & Code P0251

My 1998. 5 24 valve, 191k, is starting, idling and running fine. Did a new remote lift pump 1 year ago. No problems since other than replaced APPS 4 months ago.

I have a CEL with a code P0251. I know it means "(M) Fuel Inj. Pump Mech. Failure Fuel Valve Feedback Circuit Problem sensed with fuel circuit internal to fuel injection pump," but what is the most likely problem. It still runs fine. Where to start?

CEL P0251 & scanner

No problem. I'm glad someone read this thread. I'm now just driving, ignoring and waiting. WTH, I've got AAA PLUS!:-laf



I have an Actron CP9135 "OBDII Scanner" which I got on eBay, but is available at places like Autozone, PepBoys, etc. It is the Orange one, about fist sized. Works great good instructionions and code list. The little black ones are not so good.

code 0251 HELP!!!!!

Just found out that Harbor Freight has what looks like my Actron for $64. 99: Cen-Tech OBD II code scanner #94217-3cmb.

Also Actron # = 800-228-7667 / Actron®



Now if someone would help me figure out what to do with CodeP0251
