Looking for a Vintage R/c Truck

Heli is finally back together!

I hate my phone! alltel aka Allhel!!!! Ive got the 2 way kyocera phone and it SUCKS ah I hate my service (the little that i do get), It turns on and off on its own, the 2 way sucks (due to lost service) !!!!!! AHHH #ad
Thinking about changing to Nextel any other suggestions!! Im almost temped to take the boom/bucket truck and max it out at 75' chuck the phone then drop a few tree chunks on it!!!!

Go back to alltel and get a different phone. The problem is the phone not the service. I couldn't speak to the 2 way service because I don't have it. But I have been with Alltel for over 10 years (used to be Century Tel) and I have literally never not had service and I am on my phone an average of 2500 minutes per month and have traveled all over the country. Alltel will use anyone's tower because they have agreements with all of the other cell phone providers. You want to be sure you have a tri-mode phone (not digital only). Tell them that coverage area is your #1 concern. I had a Kyocera 2135 phone for about 2 months and it was horrible. Went back and got a different brand and model phone and the problem went away. The phone I'm using right now is a Toshiba CDMA2000 and is the best phone I've had since the old large analog motorola's. I wear my phones out every year or two so I get to try lots of different phones. What you definately don't want to do is go to Nextel - Nextel's coverage in northern michigan is spotty at best. It's ok if you are on the main interstates but get more than 5 miles off of them and you'll never get a signal. I have lots of clients that have service from all of the different carriers here in Michigan and I can tell you that Alltel has the best coverage by far.

I'm not impressed with Nextel, either. I've used 3 different phones w/ Nextel. No difference between the three. Have had the best luck/coverage with Verizon.

I've had Verizon for years now. They continually upgrade their service area, new towers. Live out in the country and no service problems. Just signed a new contract and got new LX phones . Had a problem with the Motorola phones I had previously. Go with Verizon and LG phone. I don't know if they have the 2 way radio deal or not.

#@$%! NEXTEL! Just got out of a 1 yr contract with them... ... .

went straight back to Verizon Oo. ..... I go to to many truck events/pulls out in remote areas of KY, OH, and IN to pay for a phone that DOES NOT GET SERVICE :-{}

Alltel will use Verizon's towers BTW. So anyplace that has Verizon coverage Alltel will as well - as long as you don't have a phone issue.

I have had good luck with Sprint, though some of their phones are worthless, such as the sucky camera phone by Samsung I have right now. All Samsung phones I have gone through are horrible. I have had great luck with Sanyo's, however, and would strongly recommend a Sanyo if you ever end up with Sprint.
