Anybody use Cenpeco oil????? I've Got a local diesel shop that swears by Cenpeco oils, They tell me they have a guy with a pulling truck that used to change his main bearings every third run and now he does it once a year since he switched to Cenpeco oils. They have a web page but it doesn't say alot www.cen-pe-co.com

I am not trying to start an oil war here, I currently use Rotella T in my 2001 and used it for the whole time I had my 93, with a 180,000 miles on the ole girl the oil still came out clean (it was translucent not jet black on the dip stick) and the truck ran great so I guess I don't need to change brands but was curious.

Never heard of them.

Say they use 100% Paraffin base oil. If I remember correctly doesn't Lubrication Engineers do this as well. Also very important is the additive package, and it seem like LE has that well taken care of.

Do you know what he cost is per quart? Do they make a CH-4 oil?

That's what alot of the tractor pullers use. The Silver Bullet alcohol super sponsers them. It is very good oil but I'm not sure if it's meant for daily drivers. I'll try and find out.

They call it a Para-synthetic, I guess it has synthetic additives. It is called S-3 oil it is 15W40 has a real good additive package and a pour point of -40 which is alot better than Rotella T. I guess it's designed around the daily driver

I haven't heard of anyone using it in their vehicles, just pulling tractors. I'm sure it's just another type of Cenpeco. I would give it a try, they have a great reputation. I'll pass on any more info I find.

We have been using Cen-pe-co in all our tractors around home since I can remember... I began using it in my Cummins since the first change... . We have never had a motor go or any major problems, and some of the older tractors have 7-8,000 hours on them, which is impressive for ag engines! This oil is excellent stuff, yes, it costs a little more, but it is definitely worth... . I'll never put any other oil in a diesel motor... :D

turbo tim. I heard about cempeco last time I was up to dieselfuel systems it does sound like a good oil I think I will try it next time.

Very interesting. I have been using Rotella T. I was thinking of going with Redline for my next oil change. I will check it out.

More info?

I looked around the web but couldn't really find anything on Cenpeco oil. Turbo tim it would be interesting to know what the guy in the pulling truck used before he switched. Would it be hard to find out?

I would be interested in more data such as flashpoint, volatility test, etc. etc. and if it's suitable for long drain intervals. I'll call them Monday and see if they can provide more info plus maybe send some literature.

The cold pour point is close to Amsoil 15W40's -47F pour point.
