I have had the 92 a little over a week and have decided the center console needs to be bigger and have more features. Anyone have any ideas, suggestions, or even pictures to help me out? I will try to mount my radio, linear, gauges, and hopefully some decent size cup holders. Thanks!

My thoughts also. But I was thinking about making a smaller one to set in front of the big one. I have my CB mounted to the front of console.

HHHMMM got a spare CB kicker laying around. :D

kicker

You have to get in good with a radio shop and all you do is buy an amp and have it tuned to operate on C. B. band. You can buy them over the internet. Getting them retuned is the trick!

I didn't make my console any bigger but when I mounted my CB on the front and was running wiring I also installed a lighter socket on the front right side for my cell phone, it has been a great addititon so you don't have to leave the coin holder open to plug in the phone(I'm a nonsmoker so it's a coin holdr not an ashtray in my truck)

Killer 59 you can mount a CB (2950) and a Linear (siltronixs100 with a fan) and a Watt meter and a Police scanner and two Motorola external speakers and a three pack lighter socket inside that factory console now. I know it can be done. How much more do you want to put in there?????? Just past through you town around two pm today (Sunday) took old 75 from Fairfield to Huntsville, saw a black first gen was that you. Look at my truck pic's (Reader's Rigs)and you can see what I done.

The problem I have with the console is the cup holders. I would like bigger ones that look like they belong there. I will mount my radio on the front and my linear inside if I could solve the cup holder problem. Those little POS's won't even hold a 20 oz Dr. Pepper! That just won't do! Wayno, that wasn't me, My truck is a d350 and it's dark grey over red. I work part time at Napa, stop by it's right on 75! Thanks! If it or a 4x4 tan s-10 is there, so am I!

Got any links for retuning an amp for CB useage.

If you need a 90 degree CB coax adapter. I have a few laying around. It helps when you mount on the front of the console.

Tuffy makes a nice large center console with or without radio compartment and drink holders mounted in the front or rear.

Sorry, I don't have any links for the changes required for the amp. I have a friend here in Texas that may or may not know how to do it! (Wink, Wink!) Anyway, he told me about them. Most C. B. shops here will sell you one already tuned and ready to go, you just have to get to know them and feel them out. You just can't walk in off the street and tell them to sell you a kicker. They would tell you they don't sell them!

Also, I like that Tuffy console! Although I couldn't see any provisions for drinks. Did I miss them? Jeremy.

Next time I get up that way Killer I will stop in . I saw the Napa store . Don't get up that way as much as I should but I have a uncle that has cancer so I thought I better go see him. Probably will be going back up there more in the future .
